The Manufactured Housing Institute of Maryland is a state trade association representing all segments of the manufactured and modular housing industry. MHIM works within the membership and with city, county and state government officials to promote and protect the business environment for our members and to ensure that the people of this state continue to have a choice in the housing market.
The main services we provide include government relations, grassroots initiatives, educational outreach, image enhancement and professional development & education.

The following are just a handful of things that you gain by being a member of MHIM.

Government Relations

MHIM works at the national, state and local levels by developing relationships with US Congress, State representatives, County Commissioners, City Council and planning commissioners. Our industry is directly affected by the decisions these officials make, it is our responsibility to educate them about our industry and our products.

Grassroots

MHIM strives to build individual relationships between its members and local officials. We can provide the necessary resources to help our members take a proactive in governmental matters.

Educational Outreach

MHIM will work with members to determine needed seminars that are timely and informative. Members are always encouraged to contact MHIM and request seminars with topics that are important to you.

Image Enhancement

MHIM works with government officials and the media to accurately portray the industry. MHIM will work to educate various audiences so that there is a better understanding of the realities of the industry rather than a continuation of old stereotypes and myths.

Professional Development & Education

MHIM will periodically develop programs and provide information to help our members grow in their profession.

Networking and Business Opportunities

Through our various “members only” programs, members have the opportunity to meet others with similar business goals and concerns. These meetings provide members with the chance to collectively work toward solving mutual obstacles and achieving a better business atmosphere.
